How to Store Happy Planner Stickers: 4 Methods for you to Try

Sharing is caring!

If you’ve been a Happy Planner for any period of time, then you know that stickers are life. There are sticker books for meal planning, appointments, grocery shopping, dog walking… There are even stickers for days when you’re feeling sarcastic! I know I just can’t help but snag a book every time I walk into any store that carries them.

The problem is those books accumulate & fast! Suddenly you don’t know where the dog walking stickers are, you have way too many tiny heart stickers in the wrong color, & there’s a sticker book avalanche every other day.

It’s time to organize those stickers! Organized stickers are key to keeping planning time to a minimum while actually being able to find the book you need.

1. 3-Tiered Cart & Bins

If you’ve been in any sort of craft store lately, you’ve definitely seen the 3-tiered carts on wheels. I’m honestly obsessed with these to use for organizing tons of things, including MAMBI sticker books, of course!

# of Books Organized: Approximately 230 books (½” thick) per cart

What you’ll need:

Step 1

This bit will take some time, but it’s worth it! On each sticker book, write the name of the book on the spine with a paint pen! When the books are all tucked into the bins, you’ll want a super simple way to know exactly which book is which. If you want, you can even go a step further & write which books include your favorite stickers on a separate piece of paper.

Step 2

Stick the books in the bins! You can organize them by theme, color, or however you’d like! Then pop the bins onto the cart & voila: beautifully organized sticker books!

2. Binder Method

This is a pretty popular storage technique used by Happy Planners because the stickers can be very specifically organized however you wish!

# of Books Organized: However many you can fit in your binder! This truly depends on binder size & personal preference of how thick you want your binder

What you’ll need:

Step 1

Alright, I’m not going to lie… this part might be painful. Take your books apart. Yes, you heard right! Go through each book & take out each page. Separate the pages as you go by categories! Here are some sample categories:

  • Budget
  • Chores
  • Mini Stickers (stars, hearts, bursts, exclamation points, etc)
  • Quotes
  • Longs
  • Floral
  • Letters
  • Circles
  • Food
  • Lists
  • Holidays
  • Weekend

You get the point! As you separate each page from the book, write the book name on the back of each sheet (in case you want to purchase more once you run out, you won’t be straining your brain to remember the book!), & place them in their coordinating stack!

Step 2

Grab your binder tabs & label one for each category. Then place them in your binder.

Step 3

Fill your sheet protectors with the categorized stacks! Use as many or as few sheet protectors as you’d like. Some folks don’t mind having the sticker sheets stacked, but some like to stick with one layer per page protector. It’s up to you!

Step 4

Place your filled page protectors under the correct category in your binder(s)! Now when you need some specific stickers, you can flip straight to that particular section & keep planning!

3. Bins & Dividers

This is essentially the same as the binder method, only you’ll use bins & dividers rather than binders.

What you’ll need:

  • Storage bins (Hobby Lobby has pretty ones)
  • File dividers
  • Sharpie

Step 1

Yep, we’re back to the dreaded “take the sticker books apart” step. Same as with the binder method, separate the sticker book pages, write the book name on the back, & stack them by category as you go. See above for category ideas!

Step 2

Label the dividers using each of your categories & line them up in your bin(s).

Step 3

Place your sticker pages into their coordinating categorized divider. Once you’re done, place on a shelf & enjoy your newly organized sticker box!

4. Peg Board Method

If the thought of taking apart your stickers makes you queasy, then perhaps you’ll find this method a good fit for you! This is a great way to actually display your sticker books if you have a dedicated craft room!

What you’ll need:

  • Pegboard
  • Curved J-Hooks
  • Paint (optional)
  • Tools to hang pegboard

Step 1

Paint your pegboard the color of your choice if you wish. Once completely dry, hang the pegboard on the wall following the included instructions.

Step 2

Insert the J-hooks into your pegboard. Place them 5 inches apart going across & leave 10 inches between each row to ensure the books will fit without having to readjust your hooks.

Step 3

Hang the books using whichever method of organization you wish! Hang by color, style, season, release date… it’s all up to you!
